Elizabeth South
Christian Singer / Songwriter
Elizabeth is a Christian singer and songwriter. She has been singing since she was five
years old. She has often sung solos and has enjoyed being in numerous choirs, plays, and
musicals.

Elizabeth attended the Tisch School of the Arts for drama at NYU and also studied musical
theater there. She finished her undergraduate work at ECU, where she received one
degree in theater and a second degree in music therapy. She obtained her Master of Arts
in Teaching (M.A.T. in Music Education) at UNC-Chapel Hill. She now writes, directs, and
produces plays at the school where she teaches preschool music and elementary drama.

Elizabeth is now pursuing her dream of singing as a ministry of the gospel of Christ
through songwriting and through the release of her album, “Have Faith.” Elizabeth wrote
each song out of inspiration from her life experiences and through her faith in Christ. Two
of her songs were co-written with her brother, Mark.

It is encouraging to Elizabeth that her songs have helped people deal with difficult times
in their lives, and she is especially glad that her music has given people spiritual comfort
and reassurance.

Elizabeth's Music hopes to reflect and accomplish the passage of:

James 1:2-3: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance."

Elizabeth believes that trials are good for us and that we can't avoid them in a fallen world.

The good news is that Christ has offered hope and forgiveness in this fallen world. He
offers joy in His love and comfort as we seek Him in a personal relationship. He gives us
wisdom if we ask and believe. But, He only promises a perfect life in the next one to come.
